Stainless Steal Tanks

FH SCANDINOX manufactures stainless steel storage and processing tanks for a wide range of industries, e.g. the dairy, ice cream, margarine industries, and other food industries.

All tanks are custom-made according to our customers’ requirements. We supply high-quality tanks of good workmanship: single-jacketed, insulated or triple-jacketed tanks with dimple jacket.

Our engineering department design the tanks and our customers receive a detailed tank drawing for final approval before production is initiated.

Tank capacity: 10 litres – 100,000 litres.

Pilot Plants

We prefer to develop, design, plan and construct pilot plants in close co-operation with our customers to ensure that the plant meets the individual producer’s specified criteria and needs.

FH SCANDINOX  supplies pilot plants to a wide variety of dairy and food industries.

For safety reasons more and more producers choose to develop and test the products on their own before large-scale production is initiated. A small-scale production facility enables you to focus on research, development and testing without disrupting the current production.

We prefer to develop, design, plan and construct pilot plants in close co-operation with our customers to ensure that the plant meets the individual producer’s specified criteria and needs.

All our pilot plants are naturally characterised by flexibility and high quality.

FH SCANDINOX supplies pilot plants with a capacity of approximately 30-500 litres per hour. The pilot plants are skid-mounted on stainless steel bottom frames and fitted with the necessary process equipment, pumps, valves, pipes and fittings. The plants are also electrically wired and carefully tested before shipment.

CIP Systems

Innovative technology for optimum cleaning of your production facilities.

The Cleaning-In-Place systems (CIP systems) are designed for automatic cleaning and disinfection without major disassembly and assembly work. The technology is important for the dairy and other food industries, in which processes must take place in a hygienic environment.

Our CIP systems are designed in such a way that optimal cleaning is ensured.

Depending on your requirements, we install central or decentralized systems or a combination of both. We are also able to pre-manufacture complete CIP units in our workshop.

The units can be delivered skid-mounted and ready to be incorporated on site.

Pasteurising Units

The FH Scandinox Pasteurizer Unit ensures easy operation, high security and functionality during production.

The FH Scandinox Pasteurizer Unit is suitable where continuous heat treatment of a liquid medium is required. The unit is built on a stainless steel bottom frame, completely pre-fabricated with the necessary processing equipment, pipes and fittings.

On request, the unit can be provided with an integrated control system – fully electrically wired and tested with water prior to shipment. The design ensures easy integration into existing facilities. Additional optional equipment, e.g. homogenizer, separator, de-aerator or extra holding cell may easily be connected to the unit.

The Pasteurizer Unit ensures easy operation, high security and functionality during production.

Hot-Water Units

The FH SCANDINOX Hot Water System is constructed as a compact unit supplying water of a constant temperature to a given processing plant.

The hot-water unit is a compact unit supplying water of a constant temperature to a given process. The unit can be designed for temperatures varying from 40°C up to 95°C.

The unit is specially designed for any situation where closed hot-water circuits are required, e.g. jacketed tanks, jacketed pipes, pasteurising units, plate heat exchangers, for room heating purposes, etc.

Powder Mixer

Efficient suction and the best possible mixing of powder and liquid.

The Powder mixer is a specially designed mixer which ensures efficient suction and the best possible mixing of powder and liquid.

The mixer is built on a stainless steel frame standing on four sanitary machine shoes. The mixer includes an 80-litre stainless steel funnel (AISI 304) and a self-priming centrifugal pump. All parts in contact with the product are made of stainless steel, AISI 316L.

Butterfly valves are mounted between the mixer and the funnel at the liquid inlet for regulation of the required amount of powder and liquid.

If required, the mixer can be provided with a bag supporting plate (table) positioned 360° around the funnel.

Inline Filter

The FH SCANDINOX product filter is a sanitary in-line filter for use in dairies, margarine factories, breweries and other food industries. It is designed for filtering particles from the products and very simple and easy to clean.

The FH SCANDINOX product filter is a sanitary in-line filter for use in dairies, margarine factories, breweries and other food industries. It is designed for filtering particles from the products and very simple and easy to clean.

All parts that come into contact with the product are made of stainless steel, AISI 316L.

The filter consists of a housing featuring inlet and outlet. Inside the housing the filter element is positioned in such a manner that the flow is forced through it.

The filter cap is fixed by means of a clamp ring to allow easy removal of strainer for cleaning purposes.

The filter strainer is available with 1 mm or 2 mm holes or with 250 my wire gauze. The inline filter is also available with a heating jacket and as a two-stage filter complete with butterfly valves.

Flow Splitters

Stainless flow splitters for a variety of applications.

FH SCANDINOX manufactures stainless flow splitters for a variety of applications. The flow splitters are customized for each individual task. The flow splitters are provided with proximity switches to ensure a correct direction of flow permitting product and CIP running simultaneously without any risk of mixing hereof.

The use of flow splitters is often a more cost-efficient solution compared to a valve battery. The tasks to be solved are the same and the only difference is the one that flow splitters require manual control by a process operator, whereas valves are automatically controlled from the control panel.

Resting Tubes

Designed for optimal flexibility.

The FH SCANDINOX resting tube is mandatory for consistency and high product performance for packed products, especially table, cake and puff pastry margarine.

The resting phase is important to your production cycle because this is where the final crystallization of the product occurs. Without proper final crystallization, consistency and performance of the product can be compromised. We have the perfect solution in the resting phase as the resting tube gives the product sufficient time to form and settle for high quality product performance every time. We manufacture equipment with high quality materials so you achieve better and more consistent results in processing.

The FH SCANDINOX resting tube is equipped with a heating jacket to prevent the product from sticking. It has an internal sieving mechanism for uniform crystallization. All these attributes help ensure a constant steady flow rate necessary for a superior end product.

Product contacting parts are made of stainless steel AISI 316L.

Rework Unit

Pre-manufactured unit designed for continuous rework of crystallized margarine products.

The FH SCANDINOX Rework Unit is an all in one unit consisting of a single-section plate heat exchanger (PHE) for melting crystallized product by means of hot water.

In addition, a brazed PHE to provide the unit with hot water by condensing saturated steam, is also included.

The rework unit is completely pre-assembled with product pump, circulation pump, temperature regulating valves and instrumentation, piped-up, pre-wired and ready to install in the production facilities.

The nominal capacity is depending on the product and the product temperature profile. A normal temperature profile on the reverse side may vary from 12°C to 65°C.

All product contacting parts are manufactured from stainless steel AISI 316L, the PHE plates, however, are made of titanium due to the salt content in the product.

Pin Rotor Machine

High-Tech developed production solution.

Design:

The FH SCANDINOX Pin Rotor Mixer is an excellent high technologically developed production solution to ensure proper crystallization and consistency for a wide range of margarine and shortening products.

The FH SCANDINOX Pinmixer is modular-designed and is installed on a base frame.

The Pinmixer is jacketed for heating purposes by means of a separate water attemperation unit (to be ordered separately).

The Pinmixer  is driven by a gear motor. The general design of the Pin Rotor Mixer facilitates easy replacement of wearing parts during service and maintenance.

The FH SCANDINOX Pin Rotor Mixer is CIP-cleanable.

The general design of the Plasticator facilitates easy replacement of wearing parts during service and maintenance.

The FH SCANDINOX Plasticator is modular-designed and is installed on a base frame. The Plasticator is jacketed for heating purposes by means of a separate water attemperation unit (to be ordered separately). The Plasticator is driven by a gear motor. The general design of the Plasticator facilitates easy replacement of wearing parts during service and maintenance.

The FH SCANDINOX Plasticator is CIP-cleanable.

Function and Flexibility

The FH SCANDINOX Plasticator is a kneading and plasticising machine with 1 cylinder for intensive mechanical treatment for obtaining an extra degree of plasticity of the product.

High Standards of Hygiene

The FH SCANDINOX Plasticator is designed to meet the highest standards of hygiene. All product parts subject to be in contact with food are made of AISI 316 stainless steel and all the product seals are in a sanitary design.

Shaft Sealing

The mechanical product seal is of the semi-balanced type and of sanitary design. The sliding parts are made of tungsten carbide, which ensures very long durability.

Optimize floor space

At FH SCANDINOX A/S we know how important it is to optimize floor space, so we have designed the pin rotor machine to be mounted vertically, and therefore also very easy to clean.

WA Unit

The unit is a plug and play compact unit with a stainless steel vat for very easy installation near the equipment to be locally heated.

The FH SCANDINOX Water Attemperation unit is designed to heat up and control the temperature of hot water in small applications with stand-alone equipment that requires a local heating of a water jacket.

The temperature range is between 15 and 65°C depending on the application e.g. Resting Tubes, Pin Mixers, Plasticators, and Margarine Kombinator.

The unit is a plug and play compact unit with a stainless steel vat for very easy installation near the equipment to be locally heated.

The WA unit is made of stainless steel AISI 316L.

Valve Matrix

Automatic mix-proof valve solution for the flexible liquid media flow with CIP integration in fully-automatic dairy and food processing plants.

The FH SCANDINOX valve matrix solution has applications in the entire dairy- food, and beverage processing industry.

Our valve matrixes are the optimal state-of-the-art solution for the liquid media flow in fully-automatic dairy and food processing plants. Manifold flow can thus be realized in a clearly arranged form in a relatively small area. Our valve matrixes are individually developed by our engineering department, suitable for the respective processes meeting the customers’ exact requirements.

The matrix design is an automated alternative to the flexible hoses and the flow divert splitters with changeover bends. In most of our installations we make use of mixproof valves. The valve matrixes apply to various lines, and allow cleaning of one tank while the other is being filled or emptied preventing any risk of product contamination.

The FH SCANDINOX valve matrixes can be fully pre-manufactured and tested in our workshop prior to delivery. Built on a stainless steel frame with appurtenant valve and instrumentation including drip tray – electrically and pneumatically wired to a stainless steel connection panel. This will give a huge benefit when assembling on site due to very easy on site installation and also fast pipe connection to the existing pipe installation. All parts in contact with product are made from stainless steel AISI 316L.

The FH SCANDINOX welding procedure is according to FORCE Technology stainless steel purity and quality standards, and we do Orbital Welding, wherever possible.
